"We are the Earth, through the plants and animals that nourish us.
We are the rains and the oceans that flow through our veins.
We are the breath of the forests of the land, and the plants of the sea...Linked in a web of community, we are all interconnected."

              - David Suzuki, from "The Declaration of Interdependence"

What's on YOUR list?

Tree planting Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air; provide habitat, food, oxygen; prevent soil erosion; provide shade to cool you off in the summer and lessen evaporation of moisture.  Call your local tree planting environmental organizations and join them in reforesting the Earth.
Reduce purchasing If you buy less, you will be helping reduce the environmentally harmful effects of transporting goods to market and packaging of products. This saves trees, natural resources, and helps reduce the air pollution.  You also will be helping lessen the burden of our ever-growing landfills.
And take the money you save from not buying and tuck it away in savings.
Recycle and Reuse Have separate containers for recycled products.  Think of innovative ways to reuse things before you dispose of them.  If you have to buy something, buy products made from recycled material and products that are recyclable.
Get pumped up! Get pumped up - but not at the gas station.  Hide the car keys and car pool, use mass transit or ride a bike.  Oh, almost forgot - Take a hike!
Reduce energy use Think about it before you flip a switch or push a button and start your electric meter spinning at the speed of light.

It's nice to be green!
